Our Story

Originally this stone maison was built by a lawyer, Mr. Harry Black, in 1902. He was the son of the famous Rev. John Black, the first Presbyterian pastor of the Red River Settlement in 1851. Over the years, Black became more investment wizard than a lawyer. Following Mr. Black the house was owned by a series of judges and doctors. We are only the sixth owners of this 116 year old mansion which we have named "Bella's Castle" after our daughter. We welcome people from all places to Morden and experience the luxury, the history and the friendliness of this area.
